On the first morning in this foreign land I awoke to the bellowing wails of a creature from deep within the walls of
notre maison. What it was, I had no idea but the sounds I heard were forever etched into my soul. As tingles ran down my spine, I gathered the strength to explore the depths of the abode. Fearing for my life, I crept quietly upstairs, step by step knowing that I was drawing ever closer to the beast. As I mounted the final step a flash of black raced past my feet! Then again! This creature, fast as lightning ran wild through the house!
I later came to find that these Quebecois kept it as a pet. Under the name of
Maya, this fiend was kept as guard of their land and their lives. What treasures they keep hidden in their walls I have yet to discover, but surely it must be worth fortunes equatable to the terrors of this evil. To date, I have not been able to capture the beast well through photo. For the sake of historical record, I include here the only image of the beast I have yet been able to capture. If every this creature realizes it's power... may God have mercy on us all.
